Gear Oils

Category Landing Page Tabs

Gear oil is a lubricant made specifically for transmissions, transfer cases, and differentials in automobiles, trucks, and other machinery. It is of a higher viscosity to better protect the gears and usually is associated with a strong sulfur smell. The high viscosity ensures transfer of lubricant throughout the gear train.

This is necessary since the devices needing this heavy oil do not have pumps for transferring the oil with only a portion of the lowermost gears bathed in an oil sump.

Benefits:

  • Prolong gear life
  • Obtain optimum gear performance
  • Extend maintenance intervals
  • Boost productivity
  • Lower maintenance costs
  • Reduce overall consumption and waste

  • It will provide outstanding transmission life by controlling and reducing fluid breakdown due to high temperatures
  • It will provide outstanding low temperature performance which is even more important with today’s smaller, more efficient transmissions which use smaller valve body passages for flow.
  • It will provide outstanding control of deposits that can eventually cause sluggish operation and shifting.
  • It has Exceptional thermal stability and resistance to high temperature oxidation.
  • It has Good resistance to foaming and excellent rust, staining, and corrosion protection of copper and its alloys.
